Starter Inline Fuse/Fusable Link

Back in February I got the new Motor done and in the truck and running. I had what I am assuming was a fusible link burn up on the header. It looked like a inline fuse holder it was white and the end would twist off. It was attached to the starter. It got fried and I she ran it all summer and fall without it just attached a wire in its place. My question is I want to put a inline fuse in it what amp of fuse do I use?
76 C10 Ac dual electric fans intank electric fuel pump EFI kit 200 amp alternator.
Thanks
