Can anyone tell me where the pink wire goes?
Hi there, I have a 72' blazer c10 with the inline 6, 250ci. There are 2 cut wires under the hood! Just wondering if someone can tell me where they belong. It's the pink and green ones. Any help would be great!!

Re: Can anyone tell me where the pink wire goes?
Don't quote me on this, but the green wire goes to the temperature sending unit on my SB 350, and the pink wire goes to the ceramic resistor block that is in line and upstream of the coil (if you are still running points ignition). I hope that is accurate, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Can anyone tell me where the pink wire goes?
Thanks. The wire that is c goingto the coil has no resistor or ceramic. It Iit a small pink wire that splits into two yellow ones. One to the starter and one to the coil. I am in the process of ordering an HEI distributor so I don't even know if I will need the pink wire?. Any more info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Can anyone tell me where the pink wire goes?
The pink wire is an ignition wire (+12 on run and start) this is the wire that will power your HEI. If you were still running points then this would go to the ballast resistor(if used) or the coil+.

2x on what hemi43 said if you have a hei and the green one is for temp sender. If you type in wiring diagram on the search tab you can find a complete diagram

Re: Can anyone tell me where the pink wire goes?
The smaller gauge pink wire splits into 2 yellow going to the starter and the coil. Is this the one you say is an ignition wire? The fat pink one is ignition also? The truck. has ran without this fat pink one hooked up anywhere. Just don't want to overlook it.
this pic is taken near the starter. (Down screen the green and pink are cut). thanks |

Re: Can anyone tell me where the pink wire goes?
Like I said, it's just an ignition wire so it's +12v when in run and start. This can be used to power your HEI or any other accessory. Most pink wires on GMs are ignition .
