How do all of that still have the stock carb deal with the bogging down issue associated with the stock carbs?

I beleive I have the same carb on my 85 GMC and Im not having any issues with bogging. Yet anyway. I feel pretty lucky that it runs as good as it does since I dont think its ever been rebuilt.

OP, you may need a tune on it or possibly a rebuild.

When the truck was new, I am confident in saying it didn't bog.
If the carb is worn out or out of tune, it doesn't matter if it is a Holley, a Edelbrock, a QJet, or a ?, there will be drive-ability issues.
Your carb likely needs to be rebuilt/tuned.
