Re: 79 SWB Father/Son Project
The carpet was in bad shape, so we decided to pull it out and realized the floors were a little more rusted then first thought. Looks like our next project is gonna be putting in new floors.

Re: 79 SWB Father/Son Project
Went ahead and ordered my 10" rally wheels last night, can't wait for them to get here. I'm gonna run my 275×60's on the rear for awhile, but now need to decide the best option to run on my 8" rally on the front.

Re: 79 SWB Father/Son Project
Depends on the look you are going for. I like a wide tire up front, like a 255.

255-60. Is one on the shortlist, along with 225-70, and 235-70.

I'm running 235/70/15 up front and 275/60/15 in the rear

Re: 79 SWB Father/Son Project
The 10" rally wheels came in, and finally had some time this weekend to get them on.

These things are really nice and filled up the wheel well nicely.

Re: 79 SWB Father/Son Project
With the holidays, haven't found much time to do anything. Last weekend we made time to put in a new master cylinder and start pulling the interior out to rede the door panels.

Re: 79 SWB Father/Son Project
I like the truck a lot. Paint looks great after your work on it. Sounds like you want really nice paint but from here it looks good enough to keep. If you want to turn loose of the flip kit send me a PM.

Re: 79 SWB Father/Son Project
Thanks guys, and after I get the floors repkaced, I'm gonna put the flip kit on. Believe it or not, but after pulling the ugly heavy rear bumper off, the rear of the truck raised bout 1"

Re: 79 SWB Father/Son Project
well, the rust in the floors turned out to be more then we could tackle with the tools we had to work with, so we decided to sell the truck to a guy from Houston, that has big plans for it. So needless to say we are back in the hunt for one with no rust. But man there getting harder to find.
