Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
Wood grain on dash bezel, center console cup holder, carpet on wheel wells, passenger seat belt, etc, not exactly a survivor, but what a nice looking Blazer. I asked him to post a PIC of the SPID. Down the street from my folks.

Almost the twin to mine. Curious to see what it brings, if it sells...

What a shame, who orders a truck like this without AC?

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
I bid it up to $22,000..........far as I would go.....someone really wants it bad.......
No AC and I'm sure there are other things it would need too.......

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
Yes very nice. Also noticed the RH alternator and replaced sweeps on the door, gotta wonder about survivor status.

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
I guess whether or not it's a true survivor depends on your definition.
I'm always amused when I see "factory roll bar." There was no factory roll bar. They were all aftermarket, although dealers would install them as well. |

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
Nice looking truck for sure but obviously "Survivor" is used loosely or maybe it means something different to different people. I'm hoping for a SPID posting to see what else may or may not be "Survivor" .

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
Tailgate has been swapped out, or bottom trim added for some reason.

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
Curious to see what it gets up to....If I didn't have this project one.....looks ready to drive......then tweak it all out...........black/black I would HAVE to put AC on it....on make it topless

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
Oddly enough correct for K5 not CK10/20.

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
My 71 original paint CST does not have the bottom trim. Is that a 72 thing?

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
Interesting - I've not looked into that. Would love to know - I'll dig through some posts and see what I can find. My K5 isn't original paint but has the trim as do many others I've seen. Same deal for Custom level Jimmys for at least 1972.

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
I bought my 72 CST K5 from original owner in 1980, it does not have that trim on the tailgate and was sold to me as original accident free. ?????

my original cst 72 had the lower trim too. if not mistaken I thought the original brochure for 72 showed the trim.

I've started a separate thread for discussion of the lower trim on the tailgate of CST K5s here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...29#post7511429

Re: 72 k5 Tripple black on eBay
I sent the seller a email asking him to post the SPID. Nothing heard, so I called him from the # posted on EBAY. He said the glove box option sheet had been removed and he didn't know why. He said he bought it from a buddy. Nice looking blazer, but no build sheet, no SPID, no paperwork. Looks like a put together blazer to me, definitely not a survivor.
