ls swap for a 75 k5 blazer
So I've read till my eyes hurt and read more. I'm learning there's alot of homework in this swap. So far I have a 2001 5.3/4l60e (180,000 miles)and a np241 case. If I'm correct I should do a 87 blazer tank, stock sending unit, walbro 255 pump with 33737 regulator. Miss anything?So should I do steel lines or braided? And I'm still confused about the radiator steam pressure. Any help is very appreciated. Thanx in advance

I too would like to see the steam port on the back of the fuel pump. I actually pulled a spare pump off yesterday to attempt this exact thing. I look forward to seeing this. -Izzy

Lowrodder here's how I did my steam line..also you can use the vette filter/reg with that engine just block the return port on the fuel rail..that's how I did mine. I also ran steel braid for all my fuel lines.

If your going to replace the rad you could get a 1/4" fitting placed in the tank and hook your steam line to the rad, or have one added to your existing rad!

How did you block the return? What did you do about the fuel pressure regulator on the rail? Essentially you're dead heading 58psi of fuel in a hot engine compartment by blocking off a line, so you had better have one hell of a block on it, not like the old days when you could hose clamp a bolt in a piece of rubber hose. You definitely don't want fuel spraying all over a hot engine. And all this just to use an overpriced fuel filter...... Just doesn't make sense to me.

Ls1 what I did on the return rail was put a 5/16 gm style pushlock that had a -an male fitting on it then put a -an cap on it..with the vette filter reg I have there is no need to run a return line. The vette reg bypasses back into the tank..holds about 55psi on fuel rail and dont leak.. this is the way they told me to do it when I was assembling mine. Got about 8000 miles on it with no issues
