Just make sure they are facing the right side up and stagger the gaps. I put the oil ring wipers 180 apart and set them so the are not lined up with the pin. Compression rings I just set about 90 degrees apart.

Did you hone the cylinder? It is a must. Then wash it good with brake clean including the crank pin. After that spray it down with WD40 and wipe it out with a lint free rag a couple of times. Then oil it up good.

Probably a little late for you now but you also need to check the the ring in cylinder first to get the proper ring gap clearance.
The amount of gap you have when installed.

Also a bit late to the party also, but there is new technology in ring gap orientation worth noteing.

If the rings are file fit, a good rule of thumb for MINIMUM ring gaps are:

Lower cost , pregaped ring sets are usually quite generous in ring gap and 3, 4 or 10 times the recommended gap. But always worth checking.
