4x4 rallies on a 66 c10
Hi everyone. Hoping to get some advice...
I have received "free" 80's 4x4 rallies for the truck.. as you can see by the pics they still need to be cleaned up a bit but will look much better than my current rims. Anyhow, I took 4 pics. One of the rims off the truck (front), one off the truck (back), one installed, and one close up of the rim to hub contact. My questions / comments are.... 1. Are these 4x4 rims ok for my truck? 2. The backs of the rims will not sit flush with the drum because it is "scalloped"? (second pic) is this ok? 3. When the rim is tightened the hub does not go beyond the rim so i cannot ensure good contact (pic 4).. is this ok? Thanks 66GWN |

Re: 4x4 rallies on a 66 c10
Sometimes the center of the wheel is tight on the hub register. I would suggest using a file or flap wheel to clean up both the wheel center and the hub register and see if that helps the fitment issue. You might have to work at it a bit to get a nice fit.
The 4x4 rally's have been used on the early trucks for many years.

they fit fine. Previous owner put them on. I just cleaned them up and bought 4 rear centers (no lockout hub hole)

Just my opinion but I think these are the best looking steel wheels you can put on these trucks. these were sandblasted, painted dbc two stage ppg clear. New rings and centercaps.
