4l60e kicks into drive hard

So I've been trying to figure out why my 2002 4l60e kicks into drive hard. I've seen people having other problems in series with the Trans harshly kicking into drive but I don't have any other problems, shifting from one gear to another is nice and in a timely manner and I have reverse, which doesn't kick into gear harshly also my down shifting is normal, and my torque converter locks up and unlocks normal as well. I'm using TCI's EZ-TCU with TCI's remote mount TPS. My TCU isn't throwing any codes either. Anybody have any ideas?

Re: 4l60e kicks into drive hard

Are you talking about the neutral safety switch on the gear selector? If so I am not, the harness for the TCU doesn't have any wiring pigtails that go to the switch on the gear selector

Re: 4l60e kicks into drive hard

Is the controller showing Closed Throttle/0% TPS at idle?
If the controller thinks your above Idle it will raise pressure, Anything above minimum Regulated Pressure will open the Forward Abuse Valve in the Valve Body.....Bypassing the Forward Clutch Accumulator, Giving a harsh Forward Engagement.
Also the output to the EPC should be around 1.00 AMPS at Idle.

Re: 4l60e kicks into drive hard

Did a new tune on the TCU and now the TPS is reading 00% at idle, and it doesn't kick very hard into gear. Thanks guys!
