Lower control arm sleeves

Hey everyone I'm in the process of rebuilding my 78 Chevy crossmember to go under my 62. The only thing holding me back is getting the lower control arm sleeves out. I know most of you would probably just say to use the original ones but I'm gonna be stubborn and I also allready bought new ones and they're going to get used plus I allready mangled the old ones trying to get them out. Any tips/trip/solutions on how to get them out would be greatly appreciated. So far I've tried to use an air hammer with chisel bit but had no success. Thanks

Re: Lower control arm sleeves

Well Macguyver might not approve but there's always burning the rubber out.

Re: Lower control arm sleeves

Last time I did control arm bushings (similar enough), I had to burn out all the rubber with a torch. It was a mess.

Re: Lower control arm sleeves

You can use a drill bit or burn them out.

Re: Lower control arm sleeves

Thanks for the replies guys but in the post I said sleeves not bushings, the sleeves are what the bushings get pressed into. These are the new ones
