Re: If only it was.

To bad the 64 has a 350 in it...needs something better! Maybe like a 409 or something. Weren't detroits an option for these?

I'd love to have that 63!

Re: If only it was.

I used my 64 GMC 6000 as a daily driver. 5 miles per gallon if I was lucky. You think your pickup gets stared at, size matters buddy. I'd stick a sign on the side sayin lookin for parts. Then go and get um once you find out where they are.

Re: If only it was.

Oh I would sooooooo turn that '63 into a hauler for my nostalgia drag cars!!!

Fortunately, I have enough projects, and no more room!

I know it is 2 body styles back but I used mine as a daily driver for about a year back in 87/88 when I rolled my 62 C20. Otherwise used it to haul fire wood, go to the dump, hauled lumber when I worked for a framing contractor. I don't remember what size it is as there is no badging but the GVW is 16,000 lbs and the combined gross weight is 26,000 lbs. 6 cylinder, 4 speed, 2 speed rear end, brake booster.... I remember it being a fun truck to drive around, last time was about 10 years ago, the cloth covered wiring is getting rotten and it needs to be re wired.
