Addco 117 sway bar on a '62?

Looking for a front sway bar for my '62 C10, and as usual, it's hard to find anything for the 60-62 torsion bar suspension. Did find an Addco model 117 that's advertised to fit 60-72 trucks, but I'm suspicious of aftermarket parts that are supposed to fit such a wide span of year models. Has anyone installed one of these on their 60-62, and if so, how did the install go and how well did it perform?

Thanks for the link. It's easy to see you do quality work.

It looks like you main mod to the Addco was building spacer blocks to clear the steering pump. I'm about to install the CCP power steering conversion in my '62. Which pump are you using? And do you think this clearance issue would be the about same with most steering pumps on 62's?

Re: Addco 117 sway bar on a '62?

The steering box is a generic for 1973 thru 1982+ half and three quarter ton Chevy/GMC trucks. This steering box I sourced from Pick and Pull, I needed something to build to so I picked this one because it was newer than the truck it was on and clean. Turned out its in nice shape so I'm running it. Clearance issues shouldn't be to much different...But its easy to determine what you will need during mock-up after you've installed the steering box..
