Newbie from NC

Hi all,

I've been lurking on this site off and on for about 5-6 years now, but since I didn't have an older truck I didn't bother signing up. Well, I noticed a lot of info here on the new(er) 88-00 GMT-400's and since I'm on the hunt for one, I figured I'd finally make an account.

With that out of the way, my name's Chris and I'm from Sanford, NC (just outside Raleigh). I daily a '15 Sierra Denali (in sig) and also a '16 Ford Super Duty as a work truck. I'm currently hunting for a clean, low-mile, '97-'00 Chevrolet or GMC C/K3500, Crew, 4x4, with the 6.5L Diesel and Automatic.

I'm looking for something that I can use as a work truck to keep some wear and tear off the Ford (and possibly get rid of the second payment), as well as something I can modify a little (the Denali is a lease).

I've always loved the post '94 face-lift GMT-400's, they're my favorite GM truck design behind the '69-'70 Chevy's. I always wanted one as a '90s kid. I'm apparently not alone, as these trucks are getting harder to find and clean examples are going back up in value.

This is a great site, with a lot of useful info that I will surely be utilizing as my truck hunt continues. Thanks for letting me be a part of it!

Re: Newbie from NC

Figured I'd add a couple old pics of the '15 (it hasn't changed any).
