1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
I bought a 67 C10 that is missing it's SPID. It has lots of trim that makes me think it could've a CST or Custom(trim around the windshield, around the panoramic back glass, chrome side mouldings, tailgate and grill mouldings and chrome front bumper). Unfortunately there is a repoped cluster, a newer colum in it as well as a newer seat(seats got to go!).
It has a CST horn button and the previous owner gave me both CST and Custom door badges. What else would determine it a Custom vs CST? Glove box emblem? Heater controls are black. Would they be chrome if it were CST? Thanks for the input.

Re: 1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
screw holes on the back cab wall where the buddy seat bracket would attach. if none it's a custom cab. if present it would likely be cst but not guaranteed. the other things you mentioned came in both. that's all i got...

Re: 1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
correction: i just remembered in 67 if you ordered bucket seats you couldn't get a custom cab, you automatically upgraded to cst.

Re: 1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
Thanks guys. I'll look for the Buddie Bucket bolt holes and tank cover holes. Here is point of confusion one.

Re: 1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
The best way to check is for the screw holes 68 bowtie mentioned. If it's a CST it will have them if the bracket was removed. The horn button you show was use in both "Custom" and "CST" trim levels. WES

Took out the 60/40 seat the truck came with and found no holes on the back wall guys.

Re: 1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
Gainsb. I do like original paint trucks. Here's another one I couldn't pass up. Gotta run the #s but it's a 283 or 327 with a 4 speed on the floor. Blue on blue with all its original panels and paint.

Girlfriend has a Nissan Leaf so she refuses to go to gas stations. My best friend likes to take rides in the 67' C10 Custom.

Re: 1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
In 67 buddy bucket seats were standard equipment with the CST trim package and a bench seat was an option for CST trim level. In 68 the bench seat because standard equipment on CST trim level and buddy buckets were now the optional equipment. If your 67 has the original seat that has not been recovered then I would imagine it would still have the build sheet stuffed inbetween the foam and springs, if your feeling up to it you can pull the bench out and fish the paper/pieces of the paper out and make out what options your truck had/has, on that paper it should say either "custom sport truck" or I believe "custom cab EQ". nice looking 67! Like that factory blue, don't see many original paint 67-68's with that darker blue

Re: 1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
Unfortunately the original seat is gone along with the SPID. Truck came with the correct steering wheel and horn button as well as a teal steering wheel and CST horn button. Here's how it looked when I bought it.

Re: 1967, How to determine a CST vs Custom?
Here's how it looks after a little "de cluttering" of the dash, a much better condition and new to the truck seat. I'm installing a smaller diameter black "Forever Sharp" steering wheel(bought from a forum member), going to do a little cleaning and I'll be done on the inside. That is if I can find some blue arm rests?
