need to know
I need to know if an 89 1500 silverado instrument cluster will work on my 89 1500 chevy burb 2wd. I would like to get some pictures to compare to my burb.

If they are both gauge type they will. Or if they are both idiot lights they will. But a gauge type will not work into a idiot light one or vise versa. They 2 wiring harnesses are different. If you are changing from light to gauge as I did, you will also need the under dash wiring harness.

the 89 C1500 is the newer body style. If you are sure of the year, it will not work. The 89-91 Sub has an electric speedo, IIRC. I know that the numbers are a little different than 88, which has the earlier numbering and a trip odo. The 87 and older is similar, but does not have a trip odo.
