65 c10 front end upgrade/repair
Hello,
my k frame on my 65 has a rust crack in it at a weld seam. Was thinking of doing a swap from a newer one like in the link http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=366828 Is anyone sure that other than some holes, this would work fine? Thanks for any input. I have the front clip off and motor out, so I have room. |

71-87 bolt up except 2 or 3 holes which will need to be drilled. Great time to replace worn parts as well

Yep, like clyde65 said...a few new holes and it bolts right up. Pay special attention to the "replace worn parts" part.
I just swapped everything from an '87 to my '65 last weekend but didn't replace anything(ball joints, tie rod ends...etc) and now I'm dealing with that headache...you're gonna be in there with your hands dirty anyway, might as well do the ball joints etc, just for some peace of mind. |

Re: 65 c10 front end upgrade/repair
my plan is to power wash then paint then rebuild the complete setup.
thanks for the heads up. could I drill the holes with the k frame in place with an angled drill? |
