79 c30 4wd swap

Will a Dana 60 bolt up to a 2wd frame?

Obviously I know I will need to add the hangers for the leaf springs, but is there anything else?

My dad has a 79 c30 dump we will be working on this winter and debating if we wanted to do a 4x4 swap. Have a lead on a dually Dana 60 locally

Front spring perch width didn't change from 73-87 1/2 to 1 ton. The rear changes from 3/4 to 1 ton so beware of that. And you might have to change the crossmember so watch out for that.

If I were looking to convert 2wd to 4WD, I'd try to dig up one of the 5-link, coil-over kits.

I believe you might get away with keeping the rear end it has now just use taller springs. But the whole front will have to be changed out.Its not super hard its been done just takes time. And what trans and t case you want to run ?
