1 step forward and 2 back

Well, got my 84 running again, installed alum intake, new 600 holley, new HEI, wires, plugs, water pump. Going over other things I found the head lights are stuck on bright, 2 head light are out, turn signal switch is screwed up, and the tail housing on the transfer case is leaking. Also along with the cab corners I also need a RS bed side. It's got a little rust and a whole lot of bondo. Wish I had a good solid bed. Sorry, just venting, slow but sure I guess.

I know the feeling! Just finished re doing entire front suspension and decided to go ahead and tidy up steering and brakes while I have the front end take apart.

They do tend to be ongoing projects but still far lower cost then a new truck. As far as the bed, make frequent visits to your local salvage yard(s). At least around here, full beds in good shape do show up. Seems to be feast or famine. None for months then several at once.

Always a good feeling when they can move under their own power, even if just a little.
