o2 sensor woes

while placing an order on summit i bought the wrong o2 sensor that don't match my psi harness. both 4 wire square for the gen 3 ls, but both have male ends. this led me to a few questions before i return them.

Is there an adapter made with 2 female ends that i could simply buy and hook my existing o2 sensors up.

whats the female plug part #? could i just cut and wire one end to work correctly?

also, if i'm ordering a new set, what are the preferences out there on swaps? I was just going to go with a stock type sensor being that it is only a mild built 6.0. at the end of the day the purpose is to be streetable on a daily basis.

Re: o2 sensor woes

Regarding o2 Sensor...

My GM crate engine information pack calls out for GM# 12581966 or AC Delco # 213-1694. These are what GM calls for. I don't know about any adaptors, I have a harness from RCI in Huntsville that plugs right into the sensor.

I think these are kind of the universal part number for LS swaps, I've seen the AC Delco number used in multiple compatibility charts and cross references. Please note, my engine is an LS3, (6.2), but I think these are even the sensors I ran in my 5.3 swap several years ago.

Good Luck sorting out, hope the numbers help.

Re: o2 sensor woes

Look at Bosch 13444 and 13474
One is male end, one is female end.
The 13444 is the "jack of all trades" sensor that most harnesses call for.
