Armrest on 56' ?

What works? There are 2 nuts in the brace behind the panel approx. 6" centers, are there for armrests? Easy enough to locate and drill the panel but what armrests are you guys using?

Re: Armrest on 56' ?

I have a set of OE armrests from a '57 GMC. I also have 1/2 of a set from a '60s van that looks similar. There are plastic aftermarket versions available, I believe.

This version looks like the OE parts I have:

This version from LMC looks a little different:

Re: Armrest on 56' ?

Not OEM or repop, I got these off of a Isuzu Trooper, 4 door, back doors at a wrecking yard for $5. The grey (photos beigh) matches my leather seats. It screws from underneath at an angle like stock.

Re: Armrest on 56' ?

For my 56, I did buy the aftermarket armrest from Classic Parts. Aligned properly and fits as they should.

Re: Armrest on 56' ?
