Back wall ideas
Would like to see pics of what, if anything, you all have done to the back wall of the cab.
I am working on an 85 C10. I've got the 6x9 speaker mounts and i'm looking for ideas for carpet and how to make it look neat and seamless. thanks!

Re: Back wall ideas
I built a triangular shaped storage bin to go behind the seat. I did not like the prefab storage units because I want to determine the size and location of the storage areas. I made the storage bins match the items I wanted to store, e.g. bottle jack, tie down straps, battery cables, spare quarts of oil, set of sockets, etc. I favor the maximum usage of behind the seat space in a regular cab instead of appearance. I built MDF triangular boxes in the corners for rear speakers and painted them black.

Re: Back wall ideas
I put carpet on my 85. It turned out great. I used 3M spray adhesive. I'll have to try and find some pics...

Re: Back wall ideas
I used the original storage tray and put amp/speaker box carpet on it. And then also on the rear corner speaker bracket. Painted the covers charcoal grey.

Re: Back wall ideas
Did you use spray adhesive to stick all the carpet down on the back wall?

Re: Back wall ideas
The spray adhesive was used, but to apply the carpet to the tray. And then I just set the tray behind the seat.

Re: Back wall ideas
I left about 1/4"- 1/2" of carpet of overhang from the tray. That little bit, i may have used a small amount of adhesive, I would have to go out and check to make sure. Since that carpet was nice and thick, it maybe staying up there on its own. It's been a few years since I did that project.

Re: Back wall ideas
Carpet isn't very neat but the behind the seat shelf unit is very useful. Speaker brackets were found at the local pull-a-part and are 4x10s.
