Re: Post your C/L finds!
I have been in contact with him but he won't send any other pictures. It doesn't have a title but says he can "get" one. He says he needs help dragging it out to get pictures is the answer I keep getting, and that he has personal issues he is handling at the moment. Then he follows up with text that he wants it gone ASAP. Frustrating...

Possibly a factory 2wd? might be worth a look into for under 4k

Re: Post your C/L finds!
Nice! Don't worry too much. His pictures are horrible but he just sent me this one. That gap is making me think this thing is a truck??? VIN says it's a 72 blazer though. Something is wrong......

Re: Post your C/L finds!
Here is one that might be overlooked if you search by year.... a "1968" Blazer! Not mine.
https://bellingham.craigslist.org/cto/5965403539.html Here is the text from the ad: "1968 Chevy Blazer, 350 c.I. engine, 3 speed on the floor, seats five, full white top comes with it, runs and drives. When it comes to the condition of the body, there is some rust on the floor pans, rocker panels and occasional spots on lower body. Frame is in good shape. Notice: it is almost 50 years old...dont expect perfection. We have had many questions about how it could be a 68 blazer, when they didn't make them until 1969. They did make them in 68, but not many. It is a 1968 blazer - per the title, so it is listed as a 1968 blazer. Thanks." |

Re: Post your C/L finds!
That's news to me. Never heard of a 68 Blazer. I'd like to see the glove box sticker and the vin plate. Never seen a factory 3 spd on the floor either.

Re: Post your C/L finds!
Looks like he got the ultra rare proto type 68 blazer with the futuristic front end and hood from 1969-70.
Looks like he doesn't appreciate people correcting his ad about it being a 68.... I would like to see the SPID also. Funny how that doesn't get posted. |

Re: Post your C/L finds!
It may say 68 on his title but most likely won't match the vin plate. Good luck with that. It could be an error on the title. I actually had the DMV mess up a vin number on a transferred title. It came back with the numbers wrong. Had to take it to the State Highway Patrol to verify the vin number on the frame before the DMV issued me a new title with the correct vin number on it. So accidents can happen on titles.

Re: Post your C/L finds!
Some vins show build date instead of model year. Many times there are sellers who insist their vehicles are earlier than the model actually started due to this.

Looks like 69. Must have been a 3 spd on the column.

Re: Post your C/L finds!
He's been sitting on it for awhile now, it's just priced too high for what it needs. Too many guys have K5's for sale with sky high prices trying to take advantage of TV prices lol Most are $2k trucks not $10k like some think.

Re: Post your C/L finds!
Yeah, Barrett Jackson and Mecum Auctions on tv really have driven up prices. It really hurts the average Joe. I think people are crazy who go to these auctions and end up paying a 10% sellers fee and a 10% buyers fee. Just to have bragging rights. I have a Barrett Jackson car. Well that's just plain stupid in my book. But I'll never have that problem anyway. Champagne taste and a beer budget. Lol

Re: Post your C/L finds!
Yeah, no matter what some guys say about the prices going up naturally there is nothing natural about it when TV & big auctions are used as a benchmark lol
