Re: Frame tower location.
I got some like the first picture shows, 12 inch? I used bottom holes and added a 1x2 square tubing between frame and mount, drilled new holes. Works good with dirty dingo engine sliders.

Re: Frame tower location.
Fellas, really all this mess about dd sliders, etc. Two pieces of 1/4 plate the oe clam shells, wich ever towers you want a drill, and a welder or a buddy that can make a couple quick passes.....its super simple to bolt the ls in and hold hp. Just make a cardboard template for the stock ls block holes. Transfer that to the 1/4 plate. Then line up the bottom center clam shell hole with the bottom front ls hole. Bot it to the plate and then drill a hole center of the clam top to match the top hole on plate ( ls front top hole) with the clam bolted to the plate either weld it up or carry it to the exhaust shop for a quick bead down both sides of the clam. That part is done. Now then if your like me you may need to scoot the engine back some so the driver hedder primary will clear the driver lower a arm. Easy put it where it fits...mock up the towers mark and drill the new holes. Bam a perfect install. Couple hours. No super hard to find or super pricy parts....spend you money on the fun stuff..

Re: Frame tower location.
Yes they can be made, I have done that before, but never again will I skip on the engine plates. It is to much of a hassle to work on when the mounts wear out. Again yes easy to make but hell to work around for me anyway.

Re: Frame tower location.
Lol we think alike. I did not do a chop. But i did the steel tilt hood, 3" body drop, bags, and custom camaro ish front end. 61 dash too. Its work...but satisfaction and knowing no one else has one like yours is the best.
