Smart move for only $35 bucks. These used to cost $3000+ back when and had to be calibrated every time. May get one too. Don't forget to use it to measure inside closed cab especially after fill-ups or on hot days. Good for checking home gas leaks too. |

Re: Gas Smell/ Tank vent ??
saw one for 18.95! sheesh!! I participated in the design of gas detectors that sold for $3100 back in 1985. They were was 10x the size and weight of that one. I see detection level (most important) shown is 5 PPM which is great (humans can smell gasoline as low as 1.5 PPM but not always). Sensors ares catalytic, must warm up to use and may have a very short bat life.

I am with mr48 on this one, under bed tank with a bed floor filler is asking for trouble. imagine doing the power tour with a bed full of stuff you have to shuffle around every 300 miles.

Re: Gas Smell/ Tank vent ??
Side fill on DRIVERS side is great. Just gotta be careful of paint. It does take a bit longer but the convenience is worth the wait.
I updated the build a bit. Old and slow. |
