McGaughy Drop spindles and Wilwood calipers??

Can I use Wilwood Calipers on my McGaughys drop spindles on my 81 C10 ? I believe I have the 1" rotors up front.

Re: McGaughy Drop spindles and Wilwood calipers??

Just curious why you want to go wilwood . Are you concerned about fitment or just want to upgrade to a 4 piston . I used all oem parts on my 2.5 spindle drop 1" rotors on my 82 . I did the oem rally's for a while ( they were close but worked ) until I got my 18" wheels .

If changing calipers you may also have to spend extra money on master cylinder to get proper pressure/pedal feel .

My guess would be they should fit . I would think they are a little more compact than the oem calipers .

I'm doing a disc brake swap in the back and plan on using Wilwood calipers so I want the front to match plus I want a dual piston caliper. I have to get a new master, proportioning valve and stainless lines for disc brakes anyway.

An answer to my own question..... yes, Wilwood calipers will work with McGaughys drop spindles from kit 93151 - 4.5 / 6 lowering kit.
