LS3+6L90E speedometer

I'm trying to figure out the difference between the two speed sensor settings in HPTuners as I try to assist someone in getting a speedometer to work with an LS3-6L90E combo.

Under Hardware, it says:

>> Speed Output Type: VehRepTOS

Then, under Vehicle Speed Sensor, it says:

>> VSS Output: Disabled

First off, can anyone tell me the difference between "Speed Output" and "Vehicle Speed Output"?

I assume one is Transmission -> ECM communication and the other (second one) is ECM -> World and that this is what should be connected to the aftermarket speedo. But I don't want to just enable and wire it without understanding!

Thanks,
Dave

Re: LS3+6L90E speedometer

IIRC Speed Output is referring to VSS signal and Vehicle speed out is the speedo output.

On the LS1 cars there is a pin in the harness @ c2-50 labeled Vehicle Speed Output and drives the speedo, cruise control etc. Its the wire that gets used for speed sensing locks etc also.
