USA made replacement speaker for under dash (not in-dash) 2x wall K5s
Today I spoke with Greg owner of SM Electrotech about refurbishing an AM/FM for me (he's done two radios for me with excellent results). During the conversation I mentioned that I could use a replacement under dash speaker for my blue Blazer - he knew the exact application and directed me to the 4x10 slimline oval speaker he offers for $49.95 - apparently a direct replacement: http://www.turnswitch.com/speakers.htm
I've got one on order and will compare with the OEM example I have once in hand but I suspect it's a direct fit. I've used three of Greg's 4x10 speakers for 72 pickups and have been very happy - sound is better than comparable NOS speaker.

Pete I got one from him a while back. I haven't installed it on the bottom of the dash yet but it fits the factory brackets and grill so I don't see why it wouldn't fit just fine.

Thanks Jeff! Seems like a good way to go versus a re-cone.

Re: USA made replacement speaker for under dash (not in-dash) 2x wall K5s
Off topic a little. I bought a modern system two yrs ago and afraid to put it in.
I don't want to cut metal dash / cut metal doors / cut vinyl in back. Any suggestions on products that are a good fit? |
