Does anybody make a decal for the "For Economical Transportation" plate?

Like this one?

If not, I may try to make one/some.

Re: Does anybody make a decal for the "For Economical Transportation" plate?

The issue with my tag is the blue printing is faded badly. I've scanned other stuff into a PC graphics program, resized it and printed it out on decal paper. Usually takes 5 or 6 tries to get it the right size/color, and can't really do white stuff. But this is all blue, so...?
So strip off the remaining paint, make and apply the decal, and bam, new tag. Maybe.

It needs to be silk screened. There is a guy over on the Garage Journal forum that is doing them for old tools like bench grinders. Same process. Send him your artwork.

Re: Does anybody make a decal for the "For Economical Transportation" plate?

It appears as though the fella making those plates has disappeared. I too need one for a 66 and have yet to see an accurate reproduction of my ID/GVW tag. This is the closest thing I've seen and I have my original which I have hand written out the information that my tag actually says. Main differences are the font size which moves some words around and the listing of 6 different engine Cu. In. configurations. Does anybody else's match?

Re: Does anybody make a decal for the "For Economical Transportation" plate?

My decal print idea worked. Can't post a picture from work, though. Printed the decal on 8 year old decal paper, forgot it has to be sealed, or the printing washes off. These are water release decals.

So used my last decal paper, printed another one, and sealed it with clear spray paint. Looked better and even worked, but realized later it was applied upside down.

It was a bad day. Will try again later.

Home now. Here's a pic:
