Blazer door panel question

Does anyone know if 80's Suburban door panels will fit my '74 Blazer?
I'm not interested in originality-just fitment. They look the same in pictures. Thanks for any help.

Re: Blazer door panel question

They will fit to an extent, the top of the panel will fit but there will be nothing to attach the bottom of the panel to the door. The doors and panels changed in 77, so 73-76 panels and doors will interchange and 77 and newer will interchange.

Thanks for the quick reply. Are you saying that '73-'77 and "newer" will interchange with possibly figuring out a way to attach the bottom?

Re: Blazer door panel question

73-76 panels are physically smaller than 77-newer panels. The doors also changed because of the different door panel size. If you put 73-76 panels on 77 and newer doors, the bottom of the panel will not cover all the holes in the door. 77-newer panels on 73-76 doors just won't have anything to attach to at the bottom unless you drill new holes in your doors for the screws in the bottom of the panel. There are also differences in arm rests and door handles.
