60-62 door rubber questions
Two questions for you guys:
1. Did all 60-62s have door bumpers? My '61 GMC Suburban doesn't have any obvious holes for them -- were they covered up before being painted? Anyone have a picture of exactly where they're located? 2. LMC has weatherstripping that is installed on the DOOR above the window. I don't know that I've ever seen this on a truck -- is this standard or something that people just add? Thanks! Brian |

Re: 60-62 door rubber questions
60-62's had rubber on the cab and on the upper door half as well. I believe the door rubber was discontinued in 63. I'd recommend door and cab weatherstripping from Steele Rubber, 100% better quality than the imported crap LMC and the other truck suppliers sell. More expensive, but you get what you pay for. Should be a hole for a door bumper upper and lower rear cab door opening.

Re: 60-62 door rubber questions
I did Steele Rubber for my 62 but they were glue on instead of press on. I replaced them with a set from Painless and I like them much better they are press on and have an adhesive already applied so all you have to do is press them on and try not to get the adhesive on anything other than the door frame.
Mine did not have any bumps or the extra weatherstripping on the door. |

Re: 60-62 door rubber questions
I recommend door seals for a squarebody 73-up. They fit very well, seal well, and are not glued on like OG
