Interior trim color help, please.

My 1977 C30 underwent a color change by the previous owner. I'm trying to add speakers in the kick panels but the blue trim paint I ordered from LMC isn't dark enough to match and has a matte finish. I contacted PO and he thinks (but isn't sure) they pulled a paint code and used that to come up with the color. Does this look like a factory color to you? Do you know the paint code for it? Thanks.

Richard

Re: Interior trim color help, please.

Take the truck to any good paint supply shop and they can color match via a tool used to do just that.

After they take the picture, they will cross reference it to the closest possible color based on a manufacture. But remember, some times, a perfect match may require you to go with a more expense paint, but there are even ways around that if the guy is any good at his trade.

Enjoy,

Thanks. I've done that before. I can do it again but was hoping for a simpler solution to painting these kick panels.

Yep,

I've learned you can never get the three things of "Quick, Cheap and Fast" together at the sametime.

Only two of the three, pick any two.

I had the same problem on my 1988 Suburban, decided just to re-dye every piece instead, so I got none of the three above ;-)

Good Luck,
