Help identifying front, 6 lug disk, brake setup
Working on a 69 C10 that has 6 lug front disk brakes and I need to ID this setup? I don't know if the previous owner sourced later model parts or if they are aftermarket. I need to replace the rotors, wheel brgs, calipers etc. I'm installing a power rack and pinion setup from CPP and refreshing all front braking components.

Re: Help identifying front, 6 lug disk, brake setup
I think if you can figure out what spindles you have, you're headed in the right direction. Are they drop or aftermarket spindles with any company info on them? If so, I would guess that they are from an aftermarket 6 lug kit designed to fit the balljoints/tierod ends of your truck. Otherwise, your balljoints/tierods would have had to be changed to fit a later model spindle/disk setup.

Take rotor off. Some companies have the casting info on front of spindles.

They could be the stock rotors.

OK, thanks for the replies guys. I pulled the rotors off and looks like they're McGaughys 2.5" drop spindles. Called them and they told me I could get all the parts at my local parts supplier, not. Finally just ordered an entire kit from Summitt.
