upper trim long box to short box
Has anybody cut down the upper box trim from lwb to swb?

Its not that hard but it is time consuming. You will have to file and whittle a wood buck that fits inside your trim piece to perfection. Then cut the trim and put it on a hard surface, supported on the entire length, and dolly the end until the shape is suitable. 1200 grit and a little spray primer to find your highs and lows and tap them out on a piece of flat stock edgewise in a vice. Its cheaper to buy repops if you count your time, but that kind of stuff I like to do. Paitence

Yes, cut it and save the factory end, and backing plate. Splice together and you are done.
