Which Wheels?
I have two sets of wheels for my AD panel: old-school 15s with '56 dog dishes and trim rings, or 18" late-model Camaro takeoffs. I like them both - the dressiness of the 15s and the fender-filling diameter of the 18s. The 18s however have such huge backspacing that they'll require 2" wheel spacers, something I'd prefer to avoid. The overall tire diameter of each is just about equal. Maybe someone has another reason that I hadn't thought of to select one over the other?

personally I like the old school ones best. I feel like the fit the design of the truck better.

15s all the way. Plus you will get a better ride with more rubber and less wheel.

Another vote for the steel wheels with dog dish and ring. Maybe getting away from the late model rings and gong to more original for the truck rings would be a bit classier though.
Outside of the original Z28 style Rally wheels with caps and rings there are few late model factory wheels that I like on older trucks or cars. Too ,many have that Hey look what i got for cheaps at a yard sale. look when put on older vehicles.

I run 15X7 wheels with ribbed trim rings and Wheel Vintiques caps so you know how I'll vote. My pet peeve is rally wheels with derby caps on trucks. Corvette, Camaro, Nova yes but not trucks. Just my preference.

The ribbed rings that Xairav has on his are exactly what I was saying above.

i bought my wheel from wheels vintiques with dog dish and beauty rings i like them but they have 'uge teeth that will mar the powder coat and once they are on they stay i may use them some day (not) or sell them (hint hint  )

this conversation came up recently as to 18's or 15's on my truck. Sure you can fill up the wheel well with the 18's but you decrease the comfort factor you get with 15's and taller sidewall, so yes yes 15's. Ogre, I love the stance!! (again, lol) ( I believe I'll be removing my trim rings)

I like the illusion of lowness that big wheels give. They only look good however when the top of the wheel is covered by the fender lip. If you can see the entire wheel it looks like a dang Conestoga!
