Stainless W/S Trim Restoration
So I'm getting ready to do the windshield install on my truck and have read all of the horror stories about the aftermarket trim...
I'm using Precision gaskets which get good reviews from all y'all. So I'm trying to obtain a set from a 67-70 truck and have dents removed and restored/polished. I can do the polishing but don't have the ability to tap out the minor dent/dings. A while back I remember reading that one of our forum members does this. Of course I can't remember who now... Can anyone jog this old man's memory? TIA, Randy |

Re: Stainless W/S Trim Restoration
Was that the guy in AZ, that had stainless trim for sale but he also restored it.?..I also used a Precision gasket, good fit....the shallow trim is a pita, would not stay in the groove.

Re: Stainless W/S Trim Restoration
67-70 trim + Counterparts 'Super Seal' gasket worked out a lot better for me.

Re: Stainless W/S Trim Restoration
I've done several sets and working on my buddy's 71 Monte Carlo right now. It's not that hard just time consuming.

Re: Stainless W/S Trim Restoration
Appreciate the insight/advice from all. Now all I have to do is find a complete set of 67-70 to get started!
Best Regards, Randy |
