Help Control Arms
I need to know is, if newer control arms and shafts can be used on my 1972. My control arms are in such bad shape someone has already welded in the bushing hole because of the wear.
Is it possiable to use the arms and shafts with press type rubber bushings off of a newer truck as a direct bolt in? If so what years of trucks will work? I have my dropped springs and spindles on the way, and as the season is far to short up here in Canada, I would like to get my truck on the roads ASAP. Thanks |

on the 1/2 ton trucks, the 71-72 upper balljoint is different ,as compaired to the 73 -87......otherwise, if you swap the balljoint, I think you can swap the arms. good luck, crazyL

Just letting you know they will work but if you have long headers they will be in the way. The control arm around the rubber bushing is bigger.
