Idiot light

I am trying to make my idiot light work with gen 4 in my 70 C10 stepper. Thinking of using passenger side cylindrical head which is know plugged for sender/switch.

I have found an m12x1.5 to 1/8npt adapter - see https://www.speedwaymotors.com/LS1-W...pter,8195.html .

I also have found a 1/8-NPT Idiot light switch ( turns on at 248 deg F ) - http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....1310943&jsn=11 .

I am wondering if the 'sensor' part of the switch would be long enough to get enough coolant to work properly.

Anyone know if this would would work or may have found a better way?

Thanks
