A few trucks from the Portland Roadster Show 2018 Version
Here are a few shots from our trip to the Portland Roadster Show. Nifty trucks and a Photo Op with Kendig and Kevdog after Jean talked me out of a shirt and had them sign it. The little cutie in the roadster stroller I couldn't pass up.
The AD woodie rocks

Ok these are random shots and I had dinner at BJ's Brewhouse before posting them.

Re: A few trucks from the Portland Roadster Show 2018 Version
That Trailer in the previous post was one of two that an outfit that restores them had on display. The Betties were every where as they had a Bettie or sock hop queen or something contest going on.
The couple with the blue panel sell what they call a creeper but it is quilted fabric that runs in a loop and lets you slide under and out from under a car as it slides over it's self.

Re: A few trucks from the Portland Roadster Show 2018 Version
The couple in one of the photos own a chassis shop that builds some serious pieces for Chevy trucks to bag and drop them. Their company is Rydman Ranch Customs www.rydmanranch.com Nice people with some nice stuff
OG!!!! The 55 Buick Century. I had a 55 Buick Special 4 door Hardtop with a Super engine in it that was the exact same color combo in and out when I was 19 years old. Had to say that one made my heart beat go up a bit even though it was a whole lot nicer than the one I had.

Nice photos, thanks. I really like the blue Magic Creeper panel. I guess they can afford it, selling a roll of fabric for $70.00

Re: A few trucks from the Portland Roadster Show 2018 Version
I'm trying to post every AD and TF that was in the show. No discrimination on rust or flaky paint.
I didn't take photos of it but there was one of what I would call a filler section that had rigs that looked like they had escaped from the junk yard this morning. There were world class show vehicles there, some nice drivers some outrageous rat rods and some just plain junk that for the life of me I can't figure out why it was there except to fill space. The AD or TF trucks that were in the show either were top rate show rigs, had some serious chassis work to go along with the patina or were dang nice driver rigs. It's some of the other rigs in one section that make you wonder.

Re: A few trucks from the Portland Roadster Show 2018 Version
OKAY this bike is OT I know but before you smack me it was built by one of our own. Hogfarm built this bike for a gent who is a vet an is somewhat disabled.
I got to watch him take the owner for his first ride ever in/on the bike last October. Some how the paint looks like it changed but I didn't check my other photos of it. It is just flat beautiful. That's all folks, I'll post a link when I get all of the photos from the show in an album.

The show was good but there weren't as many high caliber "traveling" show cars there as are usually there. The what I thought as the main show room had a whole section of rat rods that were usually regulated to the third or fourth room. They didn't lack for work or imagination though. Lots of very nice restored super cars and several nice later model GM pickups that will show up in my album. "

Great job, Hogfarm! There's something about the moment when reality collides with fantasy...

Re: A few trucks from the Portland Roadster Show 2018 Version
Yup I'd think it was some rough competition between the copper, gray, blue and white ones.
I couldn't get decent photos of the black and green one. I don't know if it is that spot in that building or the color combination. The other trucks didn't have to compete with him as he was in a different class.

I looked for you after seeing your post on FB. I took a number of photos of your truck and the two with it.

Last shot is Lo1dakota's buddy stashing something in the truck, hope the judges had already been by to judge it.

Re: A few trucks from the Portland Roadster Show 2018 Version
It was interesting comparing my truck to many of the "High End" vehicles there. It received a ton of attention, which obviously made me smile. I will likely bring it back next year as well, but it will be all finished at that time. Exterior remaining the same.
