Oil cooler on 1987 suburban
A mechanic friend of mine, says to eliminate the oil cooler on my 87 burb (350/2wd) that they're notorious for leaking.
My question is two part; 1, opinions on removing or running? 2, if we remove it, do i need another filter mount, or does it seal against the block? There'sa lot of contradicting information out there. Thanks for any advice you can share. Posted via Mobile Device |

If you want to remove it then it comes all the way off, which means removal of the filter housing at the block. Then need the small piece (filter adapter) so you can screw the oil filter back on.

I have an 86 4x4 bourbon and the hoses are leaking now. I'm gonna leave my oil cooler. It's there for a reason.
