Suburban serial vs pick-up serial #

I've been trying to find out if there is a difference in the Suburban number plate or serial # vs a pick-up plate/serial. Do you know?

I haven't been on here in a while so I don't know if there are already threads on it. I just picked up what I believe to be a 50 Suburban.

I really dont think there is a difference.
But not 100% sure.
Your burb looks pretty decent. I hope to get my 49 panel out of storage this year.

Cool on the burb. I am not finding anything on the Vin except a 3100 is a 3100 and that should be code P http://www.sanjosechevys.org/Tech/te...chevtrucks.htm

Checking the GM herritage site it just says that there is a model difference between panel rear doors and endgate rear doors http://www.sanjosechevys.org/Tech/te...chevtrucks.htm

No distinguishing number for anything except it being a 3100.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
