59 chevy truck emblems

Has anybody restored there emblems on there apache? I took them off and I’m going to try and paint in the areas that are painted any suggestions what paint to use, also any pictures thanks

I am going to use hot shot pin stripping paint, flows nice.

It took me several tries to make my emblems look good. I ended up applying grease to the tops of the letters with a Q-tip then painting right over them. After the paint was dry I scraped the greased sections clean. Looks good now.

i hired an airbrush artist to do that: ogre idea, shaggy artist
he made 3 templates for each side and the test artwork
when i saw what he was doing in the middle pic, i considered it a waste of money
until he peeled of the template

thanks, of course everyone wants to know where i got my 'sticker'
after i saw what he did it, i should have had him do the hood ornament at the same time
i see the artist at detroit autorama every year, he really enjoyed doing it (and charged accordingly)
still have the test artwork, been meaning to have it framed... maybe fathers day
