Chevy or GMC under hood rubber piece

How did you all attach the rubber piece that goes under the hood above the radiator? Also I have a rubber piece that goes on the bottom of the grille assembly I think is for air for the radiator. They both had metal staples holding them on before I painted the hood and grille assembly. The rubber pieces are about 3-4" wide and about a foot long. Any ideas will be appreciated greatly!!

Thanks
Greg

Re: Chevy or GMC under hood rubber piece

I read on another thread that you make your own "staples" from stainless tie wire and punch or drill the necessary holes in the rubber pieces.

Thanks Ken I’m going to try that. I thought that maybe someone has done something like that but wasn’t sure what material to use. So thanks a lot!!
