Travels with charley

You all might have know about this already but did you know that Steinbeck traveled across America in a 1960 Chevy with a custom camper shell in preparation for his book.

There is an episode of Dirt Every Day where he talks about it.

Re: Travels with charley

I'm a huge Steinbeck fan. My wife and I went to Monterey for our honeymoon (19 years ago at the end of the month). We made the trip over to Salinas and the Steinbeck Museum, and I especially liked the truck. It was cool to see Fred paying homage in DED. I want to do my own travels with Charlie trip when I retire.
