What Condenser to use
I'm going to be replacing the original ac condenser on my 83.
There are so many on the market, I don't know which one to choose. Can someone point me in the right direction as to the correct one to buy that will be compatible with R134 & FIT correctly?

Re: What Condenser to use
I've gotten mine thru radiator.com or ebay. I just told them the vehicle and they matched it to replace the original.

Re: What Condenser to use
My local AC guy recommends AC Delco. I don't recall the part number, but I would do a google search for the best price. All of the new condensers will be parallel flow small tube for 134A compatibility. He recommended that even for an A6 compressor from Alma products.

Re: What Condenser to use
The best one to use with 134 is a "parallel flow". The original ones are "serpentine" style and they're not as efficient, especially with 134. If I remember correctly mine came from AutoZone and it was a direct replacement.

If the rest of your AC system is clean though, the parallel flow condensor should give a couple of decades of good service. Personally, I like these condensors because they make up for R134 not being as efficient as the old R12 refrigerant.
