vent window rubber

Does anyone know how to replace the vent window rubber on an 82 fullsize blazer. I've successfully taken the old one out but there is a hole in the rubber where the vent window post goes through, but how do I get it through the hole without cutting the rubber or drilling out the rivets to it? I haven't spent too much time messing with it, I figured I'd ask first and not risk breaking anything and making more work for myself.
thanks,
slow

I spent about 4 hours doing that. I drilled out the rivets and removed the nut on the bottom og the window. I ended up putting screws where the rivets went and cutting them off.
