C50 Cab Differences

Was wondering if anyone could tell me the differences on a cab from a C50 to a C10? From a quick glance it looks like the only thing that is really different is the front fenders/clip. Doors look the same to me. Hood is interchange-able? Thanks in advance.

Cab mounts and trans jump is all I believe.

There is no trans 'hump' as it is just flat across. Then there is an extra brace across the lower part of the firewall on the engine side, plus I believe the '60-'66 medium duty cabs all have the '60-'62 front cab mounting location. Other than that, the cabs are basically the same.

Re: C50 Cab Differences

Anyone ever put a C50 cab on a C10? I'd be interested to see how much work it would be

Re: C50 Cab Differences

Where the lower inner fender bracket is longer but is a bolt on item.
The additional brace as mentioned above. 100+ spotwelds to drill out.
Hole beside the seat drivers side for the vent for the power brake booster.
Look for a bolt in front transmission tunnel . You can cut out one from a light duty cab and bolt it in.
Additional firewall hole on earlier for hydraulic clutch.

This is also used on a 10 series with power brakes.
