Shop manual question

Do the shop manuals list GM part numbers? Or is it basically an in-depth Chiltons manual?

Part numbers are not listed in the shop manuals nor the factory service manuals. I have both. You'll need a years specific "Truck Illustration Catalog" which have exploded views of parts and provides group numbers for both Chevrolet or GMC, then you will then need a years specific "Light Trucks Parts Book" to cross reference to for the individual part numbers. I got both for my 78 C-10. Got mine off of Ebay.

I have parts and illustration catalogs for all of our trucks. Anything in particular you are hunting for?
