1986 K5 Top Color Question
Where they matte or shiny from the factory? Mine is so sun baked, I can't tell.

Interesting question...
Most were white with a texture as well as black with texture. Body color dictated top color. And to further mess with you, I have seen colored textured tops! Don't think they ever came from factory smooth and Ive owned ALOT of them. Colored yes but never smooth for shiny paint. Plus haven't ever seen an paint code for smooth finish but that's not to say isn't out there. My current white '91 has a smooth top but truck was repainted... |

They were a matte (textured) finish.
