08 Silverado Drop in process
The truck has been a farm truck the last 10 years and as of recent it no longer has a farm to tend. I have decided to removed the leveling kit and take the truck down 2 inches in the front and 3 inches in the rear. Installed new ball joints while I was at it. Got the front done and will have the rear done soon.
Wanted to post some photos for others looking.

Thanks for this, there isn't much lowering stuff on there for newer trucks.

Installed the belltech rear shackles and removed the blocks. Had to remove the hitch to get the shackle bolts out. |

It looks nice.
Did you take a before and after measurement from somewhere on the truck? Thanks |

Re: 08 Silverado Drop in process
I have a few times, even after it all settled. Before I had leveling blocks and the front and rear was 38. Front is now at 33.5" and rear is 35."

Re: 08 Silverado Drop in process
That is a pretty good drop.
I am considering between bags or just a drop like yours along with drop spindles for a 08 Colorado I recently picked up for the frame. Thanks I may just go this route. |

Re: 08 Silverado Drop in process
Alternatively you could do springs and put the strut under the lower control arm. That would give you -3-4 inches of drop in the front.
