Fuel Pressure Check Valve

I have a Corvette fuel filter and an in tank pump
Key on I have good pressure 58# as soon as I turn the key off it will bleed down to zero and not hold pressure
I would think it should hold pressure for a few minutes.....correct?
Is the check valve in the fuel pump or the Wix regulator?

Re: Fuel Pressure Check Valve

From what I read there is a check/v in the filter so I will replace that and see what happens.

Re: Fuel Pressure Check Valve

why are you looking at fuel pressure . Are you having problems . A leaky fuel injector can do the same thing and bleed off pressure as well and cause some problems .

Most all I have seen will bleed off pressure . If it drops to zero in 5 seconds I would look into it . But if bleeds off down to 10 to 15 lbs after a short time after shut down I would not concern myself . The fuel system will still do its job and most likely you will not see any ill affects unless there is a problem .
